Sync Panasonic Blue Ray Remote to Tv Vizio
How can I sync my vizio smart TV and remote to work w my Samsung Blu Ray player?

Lost remote for Samsung Blu Ray. DVD comes up on TV but TV remote won't allow play function.

Without model numbers we can't give you a specific answer.
You could try turning CEC on in the TV menu. That might help.
Otherwise if the TV remote isn't designed to operate other components or doesn't have the codes for that DVD you can't use it.
Your options would be to use a phone app (if the DVD supports that), get a universal remote with the correct codes, get a Logitech Harmony remote that is programmed online, or an exact replacement remote.
